Product description
Axis dermis has omnidirectional fibers that give it consistent high tensile strength, and the network of collagen bundles interconnecting in every direction make implantation and ingrowth uniform. Axis is extracted only in large pieces from the lower back and the back of upper leg. This gives Axis consistency in quality and structure. (cf. 1, 2)
Safety
Our Tutoplast cleaning process inactivates transmissible pathogens such as HIV, CJD and hepatitis. How? Tissue is process by thorough tissue cleaning, processing, dehydration, and preservation. The integrity of the tissue and preservation of the collagen matrix is maintained through the Tutoplast process. All organic material is removed.
Characteristics
Axis offers quick hydration. This saves time and offers flexibility to make intraoperative size decisions. The Coloplast tissue comes in a variety of sizes and can be trimmed to fit the patient. Axis arrives sterile and is shelf stable for five years.
Axis dermis is never freeze dried. The tissue's fibrous strength and consistency is maintained from implant to implant. (cf. 4)
